Whoever stumbles across this issue now with IntelliJ 2020.3:
In my case I could resolve the issue by reordering the annotation processors first lombok

as jmax01 described we used a patched lombok.jar to run eclipse oxygen.2 with the normal agent setting

Implementing Serializable kind of defeats the purpose here. I keep getting this error even though I haven't unwrapped anything at the receiver end
