@zoonman @jonmilsom thank you guys for reporting, we are sorry about that. We add this issue to our to-do list and will fix in the further releases.
Could you please check next workaround as temporary solution and let us know about results:
From Application menu right-click to Robomongo icon and select Show Package Contents
. Then go to /Contents/MacOS/
and run Robomongo
.
It works fine for me without crashing.

I have slightly different behavior. When I run it first time, it crashes, but when I will click Reopen on crash report, it works fine.
I also added a bash alias for convenience:
alias robomongo='/Applications/Robomongo.app/Contents/MacOS/Robomongo'
That's even more convenient.
Also, I'm on Yosemite and got the crash => re-open => then works, behaviour.
